Carpet cleaner?

Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a carpet cleaning machine. Are they worth it? The initial outlay is quite a lot. Does anyone have any recommendations if any good ones? TIA

I have just hired the Rug Dr for less than 50 quid all in for 24 hours my 14 year old cream/wool blend carpets have come up a treat. Try them 1st

I have the Bissell Stainpro 10 and love it. Really quick and easy to set up and does a great job.

But then we have 3 dogs so a carpet cleaner tends to be needed every other month or so...

Thanks! @missbattenburg that's quite a beast! I have preschoolers so similar mess levels to dogs 😂 will definitely consider that.
