I have a new loft and have had extra insulation put in the floor at a cost of £150 as my bedroom is below and I don't want to hear footsteps or anything else as am going to rent out loft. I was going to carpet the loft and continue same carpet down the stairs but am now wondering if mock wooden flooring or Karndean imitation wood flooring would be better and easier to clean as I am renting? Can anyone advise? Has anyone put flooring in loft other than carpet and know whether you can hear noise from above???:?
