Hi all,
I've had a terrible season on little clothes moths. Have they been particularly bad this year?
I've put the little sticky traps around in various spots which have caught quite a few. They don't seem to next anywhere its almost like they are just flying in randomly.

How do you stop them? Am I missing something?
If not how should I best protect the whole house?

They are probably chewing away at something you haven't found yet. Often they eat bits of carpet in the corners of rooms, or even under things like bookcases. Try moving every piece of furniture, you might well find a bare patch somewhere. Ours have eaten chunks of a really nasty blue carpet which I could have swore was 100% manmade fibres.

I feel your pain. I woke up recently with one in the bed with me!

I have had lovely coats and jumpers ruined by them.

My advice is to put any woollens in sealed plastic bags and straight back in after you wear them. I use anti moth sachets in cupboards and wardrobes. Cederwood oil on little woodblocks is another thing I do. Last winter I didn't put a merino cardigan in a bag. It was eaten through.

Good luck. You can just try all measures to fight them off!
