up to now ive tried woolworths and argos and homebase too..

all the screw-to-the wall stuff like you first link to will be pricey - why not get a glass shelf thus and stand cheaper chrome things on it?
eg Ikea or I got lovely chrome stuff in Asda, but that was a v long time ago...
