malm kingsize bed with storage boxes

Has anyone bought one of these beds in past couple of years and been happy with it? Keep reading mixed reviews. Seems like a solid bed to me? Anyone got advice on picking decent slats and decent medium mattress or is it better to get a firm mattress with slatted base?

I've got one, it's been going strong for about 8 years now! I have a skated base and firm mattress and I love it.

I wouldn't buy a mattress from ikea just get one to fit. I think they're overpriced for the money you could get a better one elsewhere.

I’ve got a Malm ottoman bed, and I love it. I use the Skubb zipped storage boxes to store out of season clothes and bedding, and there’s tonnes of storage space with an ottoman.
