Spiders - Help!

I’ve lived in my new place for a month now, and got rid of 4 massive spiders since. Turned light on at quarter to 4 to get a drink and there was one bigger than a pint glass running up my bed. Threw the water onto my covers then to put the glass over it but ran into my wardrobe. Now half 5 finally found it and sprayed some wasp killer on it. It’s not moving but not dead as it’s legs are moving. I had a panic attack seeing it.

How does anybody keep spiders out??

I’m in shared accommodation so I’ve always put a towel across below my door but they keep coming! Would it be where pipes are and my bathroom?

I hoover them or grab them in a double tissue & throw them out of the window.. making sure the window is open first.

Probably tissues are better if you don’t want to disturb the whole house.

Yeah, not as much of a panic attack as the spider had when you sprayed it with wasp killer, I’ll bet. If you’re going to kill the poor creatures at least do it quickly!
