Flea treatment - no pets?!

Some how we have fleas?! We don't have any petsexcept turtles in a tank with water, I think maybe my nephew bought one to our house while he was pet sitting when we were away on holiday at the beginning of August. I found two within a day of getting home, then nothing then one about two weeks later and now I've been bitten and found two the last two days :( I have hoovered but obviously not enough is there any other treatment I can use? I won't want to were money on loads of silly powders.

Indorex spray maybe. They can hitch a ride in with anybody but will not survive for long without an animal host

Get a cheap vinyl flea collar from a pound shop. Empty vacuum cleaner into outside bin.
Put the flea collar in the vacuum cleaner.
Vacuum regularly for the next few weeks.

Indorex definitely. It’s not cheap but very worth it.

I’m wondering if fleas have been worse than usual this year? I do have cats but have always given them prescription flea treatments (Stronghold) with no problem at all...until this this summer when it seemed to stop working.

I’ve been indorexing everywhere and it’s good stuff. But why did the Stronghold fail me? 😫

OP I think it might be a bad year for fleas as others have said. I used Acclaim (bought from my Vet) for fleas in the carpet when my cats last got fleas. Worked pretty quickly.

MedalMedalMedal I think it's good to switch around. My cats got fleas this year for the first time In years which were apparently immune to their usual brand Frontline so I switched to Stronghold which sorted it almost immediately.
