Occasional tumble dryer user - should I replace with washer/dryer?

Thoughts welcome. I have a separate washer and (condenser) dryer stacked in a cupboard. It’s largish, but definitely not enough space for side by side appliances.
I need to replace soon and I’m thinking about a washer-dryer instead as I line dry almost everything and only use the tumble dryer as a last resort.
It would free up some useful storage space, but washer-dryers don’t get good reviews. Is it worth getting one if used mainly as a washer with just occasional drying? I would never eg wash and dry a full load.

Don't do it. I have a washer dryer and am planning to buy a separate dryer anyway as the one in the washer dryer is so shit. It isn't a cheap one either.

I have one (indesit) and am very happy. I also hardly ever tumble - I thought I would use it more but I don't. But I have an option for if I need to . Washer is fine. Drawbacks are that the unit is deeper than a regular machine. Also I could have got a machine with a larger wash capacity if it was just a washer.
I've never owned any other sort of dryer but this will almost dry half a load in 45 minutes....I try to stop it before really dry as I don't like the creases.

If you only use the dryer as a last resort then do it. If you regularly tumble dry then I wouldn't. I have a washer dryer and really only use it for emergency sport kit or sheets in winter and it does us fine.
