Hi,

Read about essential oils being good to help anxiety and feel calm.

Also, read there are lots of different essential oils that can help in other ways, pain etc.

Does anyone use them and if so can you give me some advice?. Are they good?. Which ones?. Been looking but not too sure so would appreciate some help before just buying them :)

Thank you

Don't know much about essential oils, just the few I have. Lavender is meant to be calming and good for helping to bring on sleep. I like Lemon and Lime for their refreshing qualities. I put them in an electric diffuser and they make the place smell nice. Lavender does seem to have a slight calming effect.

I like Lavender and peppermint personally. I use lavender at night for restful sleep and it does work.
One thing to be mindful of, if you have pets don't go using oils without googling what is safe for animals, even if you are only going to diffuse them, as some can be toxic.
This will explain a bit about oils that are unsafe for dogs, but it's worth checking with a vet to double check any oils you might want to use. Cats are even more sensitive to essential oils so do be careful and do your research if you have cats

Type in to your search engine 'using of essential oils' , and you will get quite a lot of good information - far more than any of us could give here, as it is such a vast and diverse subject.

Having said that, I use essential oils every day - lavender for speeding up the healing of cuts on my hands - I work with glass. Tea tree for it's antibacterials properties. Grapefruit as I like its zingyness and it gives me a feel good factor, and Geranium which is a heavy, headier scent than most but I simply love it.
I make my own deodorants and skin care creams from them, and also use them in making my own cleaning products too.

I always buy from this site>>> www.justaromatherapy.co.uk/

I feel using essential oils - just like anything else, is a personal thing - only you can decide if they're right for you.
