Dishwasher problem

Hi all

First of all, I am in Spain, so dealing with Spanish plugs (ie no fuses). It’s a holiday home so I have been here for two weeks and we also rent it out. I am leaving on Friday and we have a renter on Monday.

Our dishwasher hasn’t been rinsing things properly for a week or so, so I used a dishwasher cleaner, increased salt and rinse aid, that has made a difference.

A few days ago, on two occasions, the dishwasher would not switch on after I reset it and set the programme. It suddenly sprung back into life for no apparent reason.

Finally, last night, I went to turn it on. It immediately tripped the RCD and subsequent attempts keep tripping it. My husband has checked the plug to see if any wiring is touching, but that doesn’t seem to be the problem. It was also plugged into a extension lead, we have plugged it directly into the socket but it doesn’t work. We have no other appliances running and no other switches are affected.

Any ideas what the issue could be or what to try next? I have already just replaced the fridge and washing machine, so really don’t want to shell out for a dishwasher now as Well!

is it under warranty?
could you try contacting the manufacturer to see if there's any advice they can offer?

It came with the house when we bought it, so we can’t. We have decided to just buy a new one as we are going home in the next couple of days. Can do without the stress! I’ve got a man and van picking it up with my husband today.
