Is there a decent non pricey stick vacuum?

One that can sit unobtrusively in the corner of my kitchen and handle a daily whizz round downstairs to catch all the dog hair that my dog permanently produces. Without clogging up every three seconds.

I'd love to know this too! So annoying having to get the normal hoover out. I could stored it down the side of the fridge!

We’ve got mainly hard flooring due to allergies (no carpets but will be getting some rugs). I’ve been pondering what to get for over a year and have just a ordinary brush and pan.

There’s just so many out there and there all expensive. I’d like some advise to.

All hard flooring downstairs here too. Just one rug in the living room but it’s short pile and easy to hoover.

I’ve used dyson stick vacuums in Clients houses and I’m not impressed with them at all. They clog very easily. And they need a crochet needle to properly empty them. I have owned a cheapy Argos own brand one and it was useless. Kept spitting dirt out every time I lifted it off the floor.

I have a Shark corded stick vacuum and have been really happy with it. I think I paid about £140 for it in one of their sales (also got Quidco cashback if I recall correctly). Had it a couple of years now and it's fair to say that I love it. Easy to use and to clean and it sits upstairs behind a door so I now longer have to lug the heavier vacuum upstairs. When the big vac breaks I won't even think about replacing it with another conventional vac, as the shark is more than good enough for our needs. Has a super long cord too so I can do all the upstairs rooms from one plug socket.

We've just bought this Shark after having a £99 Vax cordless for a few years. The Shark is amazing. The suction is so powerful it almost pulls my arm out of its socket.

We've got a Shark Liftaway too, but I can see that being redundant now.,
