Curtain hanging help

So we’ve had these curtains up in our bedroom for ages have never hung well. Becasue of the shape of the window the pole was expensive and so were the curtain rings so don’t want to have to replace.

Now my question is this the rings have a funny metal bit on them so what curtain hook should I use? At the moment the top of the curtain is all floppy and hooks keep coming off.
Think I may need my ring/hooks to sort the floppy bit out. Curtains have a curtain tape header which is only slightly gathered if that makes a difference.

Have you put the hooks in the right place in the tape?

Just get standard curtain hooks like these hooks then they wedge in to the hook on your rings, its a bit of a wiggle and a squeeze but they hold in nicely, Then hook them evenly on your curtain, using whichever row of the tape gives the nicest look/right length. Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone. @mermaidbutmytailfelloff that makes perfect sense. Currently using these so will get some of the ones suggested try them. Originally had blackout lining hooked on the curtains too. So some of the bits on the tape are baggy.

Will get some new hooks and see how it goes thanks Smile
