Not sure where to post, bidding system councils

Hi all not sure where to put this post so sorry if on wrong bit.
I've been bidding on council for 5years, I've just checked my emails and seen an email sent from the council this morning saying they have suppened my account has I haven't bidded in a while..... Has anyone had this before? I haven't bidded beacuse there are NO properties in the area I am, I think there was 1 but I was like 70/90 on it so didn't bother bidding. I've emailed back but it's really annoyed me they have stopped my account.

They've done it because they see that they can only house the desperate and desperate is not someone looking only in a particular area.

When I was truly desperate I was bidding on properties MILES from my actual home town.

@HennyPennyHorror all councils/HAs aren't necessarily the same no need to be snippy. In our area you can only bid locally!

Your council must be different from mine. The truly desperate has u put it i.e homeless or d.v is done Thur a different list.I am on the transfer list, which I'm entitled to choose what property I will bid on. I'm not willing to move an hour away from everything i know. My son is starting high school with all his friends he has grown up with, if he was abit younger I would've thought about it but he's not.

I guess it depends on why you are on the list. They clearly think you haven't bidded because you are no longer in need of moving. Our council emails me every year wanting confirmation I want to remain on the list and I bid whenever there is a suitable property whether I want it or not (more to see whereabouts we are on the list as it tells us roughly what position we are ie 0-5, 6-10, 11-20 or 20+).
Just phone them up and say you want to remain on the list and just bid every now and again, you can always refuse it if offered
