Good morning everybody yes I know its just morning, but hey thought that I would start the thread as I'm doing the ironing, AGAIN!!! am definitely living up to my name.

Well going to leave the link to the first person who comes along after me and I'm going to finish the pile of ironing that is staring at me. Will be back later in the day!

Hope you're fast asleep by now Aufish and all your ironing is done. I avoid ironing as much as possible these days and so only ever have an hours worth every few weeks - what is it you're up ironing till all hours, are you sure it couldn't just be folded and put away?

I have the day off work today (yay!) so we'll be having some famiy time. Ds wants to go for a ride on his new bike so we'll be fitting that in at some point, but have no great plans for the rest of the day. The house is OKish so there's no great worry about keeping up with things (thanks to FLYing )

Have a good day everyone

Shoobiedoo · 04/08/2007 10:04

I know today is meant to be "family fun day", but I am going to coerce DP into helping with a clear out - we have so much clutter - clothes etc that no one wears anymore, useless items that turned out to be a waste of money, it's no wonder our house is a mess as we have hardly any storage space and shed loads of cr*p.

So:

FLY stuff

Pile of stuff for Oxfam
Pile of stuff for Ebaying to be then put away into boxes
Pile of stuff for taking to dump
2-3 loads of washing

FUN stuff

Go out together for a drive to the local country park in our new car which I haven't been in yet

AufishFeQueen · 04/08/2007 12:26

Good afternoon, have been up awhile but only just got on here, ended up in bed at 2am after doing a shed load of ironing and the sad thing to say is that there is still plenty left to do! Round 2 is this evening and hopefully I will have got it all done.

My done list:

Washed up and dried up
shined sink
wiped down all the kitchen sides
one load of washing in machine
one load in tumble dryer, its a bit overcast here

To do:

Get dressed
clean bathrooms
hoover
general tidy up
make lunch
go to shop
make tea
put away the ironing

kids are all outside playing with friends at the moment so things are quiet in the house.

Hello to all.

I've done quite a bit of ironing today Aufish. I wanted to do whatever might be needed for our hols next week. I delegated making the tea to dh and ds and it was perfectly edible, mind you, it was only chilli con carne so it was pretty simple!

Well, I'm going to have a quick game of chess on the PC before bed. We've had a new PC recently with new stuff on it and I think the chess game on it is great.

SimplySparkling · 05/08/2007 08:15

I was the last one here last night and the first one this morning. Don't know if that's a bad thing or not!

Done:-
~ got up early as I heard a dog bark. I don't think it was ours but never mind.
~ had brekkie
~ added some more people to contacts list
~ wrote an e-mail to a friend

To do:-
~ write a list of clothes needed for holiday
~ write a list of self catering bits that I can't be without for holiday
~ finish off the ironing
~ prepare parcel to send to Tesco
~ ring Lakeland

See you all later!

tortoise · 05/08/2007 09:08

Good morning.
Had a busy day gardening yesterday.More to do today!
I want to get some more listed on Ebay this morning though. Really don't think we will raise enough to go away for a few days but i am going to try my best.

Hi SS. Where are you off to on you hols?

tortoise · 05/08/2007 11:48

Is everyone out enjoying the sun?
I got a few bits listed then got bored! Lol!

Washing is out
I am not scrubbing the little paddling pool for DD's! Its been chucked outside for over a year and is rather grubby. Cleaning up ok with mild bleachy water though.

Enjoy your day.

grouchyoscar · 05/08/2007 11:49

Morning ALL

Friday decended into abject chaos. Ed DID NOT LIKE having his jabs and kicked off, but sneekily, he did it in stages, almost like he was saying 'I'll get you back for that'. Lots of poor to shocking behaviour rounded off by weeing on the front room 100% wool rug DH came home to find me drying it out under towels with the steam iron and sprinkling bicarb on it.

Yesterday I was really mega busy. DH and I were going out so I had to clean the house as MIL was coming round and bringing my neice. You'd have thought the Duke of Edinburgh and not a stroppy 8 year old was visiting! I cleaned, vacced, mopped and tidied EVERYWHERE. Plus lots of loading and unloading of the wm, stripping of beds and pegging out.

So I'm feeling well weary today. At least the house is nice and clean and Prince Philip can pop round anytime.

going to grab a nap TTFN

AufishFeQueen · 05/08/2007 12:19

Afternoon Girls, having a fairly quiet day today. Just going to make sure that all the clothes that are going to be needed for the week ahead is sorted as I will be having to do the packing on Wednesday and I don't want to be rushing around like a headless chicken on Wednesday, so will be making a list of all the things that is to be packed either today or tomorrow and then pack it. Going to also make sure the house is clean and tidy before we leave so when we get back I have nothing to do.

I'm back

It has been very quiet on here this weekend.

I took the dds to my parents house on Friday, came home with ds, left him here and went for an overnight mumsnet meet with my postnatal thread friends It was great.

I've got til Wednesday with only ds and dp here, so I will be doing some serious FLYing tomorrow..

I hope all is well with my FLY buddies. See you in the morning

tortoise · 05/08/2007 19:56

Hi Jas. Good to see you back and glad you had a good time.
I left you a message erm friday i think it was!
Was about sleepsuits. Anyway, pics are here!

Jas · 05/08/2007 20:16

I saw it, thanks, and imagined I'd replied, but obviously didn't actually do it.

I would like the red/blue one that says 12-18 months but huge, or something along those lines. The others are lovely but I don't like collars on sleepsuits so I will give them a miss.
Thanks.

Shall I email you?

Hello SS have you found the other thread that we are on any good and are you feeling better for doing it? I'm just rubbish at doing the water and cutting back on the coffee, so am hoping that will keep me going like this does for my house
