Best way to protect hands while cleaning

I suffer a lot with dry, cracked skin on my hands which is always much worse after I’ve used cleaning products. I always wear marigolds but when i do a really heavy clean- scrubbing the bathroom or kitchen- my hands are red, flaky with split skin the next day. I use o’keefe working hand cream regularly which is great but how can I stop my hands getting so bad in the first place? Any tips on special gloves? Or another layer under the marigolds?

I get horrible eczema on my hands of I'm not diligent about protecting them whilst cleaning. I use disposable, powder-free vinyl gloves and they work perfectly.
