Clothes with damp from the wall on them in the washing machine

Hello, I am currently panicking about a situation I have had with some washing. I have damp on the walls in my kitchen which has a hole in it too, my friend accidentally touched my jacket to the wall and got the damp onto it which I am worried contains all sorts of damp and mould, I then chucked it straight into the washing machine without even thinking about it. But now I’m worrying would this cause anything to grow in the machine? Like is the washing machine still safe to use or will I get this damp/mould on everything I wash in the machine from now on? The highest my machine can go to is 60 degrees as well.

Please help thank you!!!

I'm sure it will be fine, don't worry. Can you address the mould issue on the wall?

I’d worry more about the mould on the wall? You’re breathing it in which is horrifically bad for your health.

Vinegar kills mould spores. You could chuck a capful of white vinegar into the machine drum and run an empty wash to clean it through, but to be honest it's unnecessary.
The mould on the wall is more of a worry, as a pp said.

I am currently in a student house and have asked for this to be resolved but am still waiting on it

It’s only mould, not anthrax. Your jacket and washing machine will both be fine.

Thank you, I am only ridiculously worried as I have severe OCD
