OK, any ideas welcome. My kitchen is great, quite new but the walls are just white and the room really looks a bit unfinished. I like white walls usually but for some reason in this room it's just not right.

I have oak (colour) units, black granite style worktop, and stainless steel oven hob and extractor. So it's all quite modern looking.

I have stainless steel accessories mixed with (sorry) some pink accessories.

Any ideas from you wonderful home makers? I am at a loss.

soft grey looks lovely with oak and the dark granite ... and is very trendy too!

but it's GREY........I just can't get past the fact it's GREY...........I guess it's one of those colours I'll need to actually test and see in situ.

I have cream units, black granite, stainless steel hob/fridge and my walls are a very light coffee/warm toned mushroomy colour. I then have a few retro bits too and it all goes well (the retro bits are soft blue)

grey can look lovely but getting the right shade can be really tricky or it will look really cold and dreary ...

Oh this is interesting - I have a new kitchen, currently painted all white (paint for new plaster only seems to come in white or magnolia...). The units are cream, worktops are oak and stainless steel with stainless steel appliances. The white walls don't look exactly right with the cream units but having the walls and ceiling the same colour does make sense because of beams, pillars, sloping bits to ceiling, etc.

Any suggestions? I need a light colour btw as it faces north...
