Aww shucks, I've burnt the duvet

It's been such a nice week I hung the duvet outside to freshen it up.
But it started raining and I didn't notice
I stuffed the Kingsized duvet into the tumble dryer for a few minutes, came on here, got distracted. Now it's burnt with great big brown stains on it

Now what do I do?

It was a lovely 12 tog Dorma one and I can't afford another one

sleep under it with the brown bits on? Dunno - sorry.

Does it smell badly burnt?
Are there holes in it?

  1. Do nothing
  2. Let it dry properly
  3. Put duvet cover on
  4. Forget it for next 10 years until you wash it again.
  5. Say - "ooh those rather strange brown marks must have been where I scorched it in the tumbledryer all those years ago, 2007 wasn't it?".
  6. er that's it

Easy

Obviously you have to ignore it every time you change the cover between now and 2017.
