squashmonster · 31/07/2007 18:27

wildwoman · 31/07/2007 18:27

snowwonder · 31/07/2007 18:27

lizandlulu · 31/07/2007 19:01

is it the really soft leather? analine stuff thats really supple

blueshoes · 31/07/2007 19:06

Erm, you can try to get the sofa professionally cleaned. I investigated for my sofa.

The cleaners did a spot test and my sofa is the sort whereby the cleaning fluid takes off not only the pen mark but also the colour of the sofa! So it did not work. It might work for you.

lizandlulu · 31/07/2007 19:07

it is fairly soft, is shiny, not really sure how elso to describe it.

i had the same as blue shoes, soft leather and it just took the colour out rather than the biro, the guy said it may fade the more you sit on it etc as the leather is porous. whereabouts in the uk are you?

KTeePee · 31/07/2007 19:10

Don't try nail polish remover unless it's somewhere that can't be seen - my dd has spilt some nail varnish on my leather sofa and I tried removing it with nail polish remover but I could see immediately that it was damaging the finish so stopped - hasn't removed the colour of the leather though and managed to minimise the damage by giving it a good polish with some leather cream..... just need to figure out how to remove the actual nail varnish now

lizandlulu · 31/07/2007 19:33

thtas what i thought, that it would ruin the finnish of the leather. i am in nottinghamshire. i think my mum may have some leather cream in the cupboard, will have to go and have a rummage.

men's aftershave worked on a cream leather seat we have. it was black biro, so i was pleased.

DiagonAllieBongo · 31/07/2007 19:46

a company called safeclean are pricey, but good. look them up and pop in your postcode if you're desperate

Aitch · 31/07/2007 20:23

TRY AFTERSHAVE

prettymum · 31/07/2007 20:31

perfume, it took off biro off our couch and dd drew a lot!

Aitch · 31/07/2007 20:33

Somebody suggested cuticle cream on here once, and it worked.
