Photo organisation and storage

So, I’m currently at the start of a mammoth project of organising all of my photos. So far I’m working with those I already have printed, and once that’s done I’ll print off the important ones off my phone.

My plan is to use photo boxes instead of albums - easier to flick through and more likely to be looked at. Does any one else do this? Or are albums more popular?

Also, any tips for writing on the back of photos? I love the idea of writing dates and a little story on the back of more recent photos for my daughter to look back on.

Strange question though - when labelling photos with myself in, do I put ‘me’ or ‘georgia’? I never really know, I guess me makes sense as it’s my photos, but when people look after I’m gone they won’t know! So yeah, what do you do about labelling yourself?

I do photo books. One for each year plus extra ones for big holidays with lots of photos. I don't tend to label people, just put in a few captions that might include place or date or people.
