I'm probably a slattern for not knowing, but how do I get my shower clean again ?

Its been bugging me for ages, but we are doing a house swap in a couple of weeks time so I thought I would sort it out. The problem is in between the tiles is sort of a rusty colour and the grouting has got black bits on it. I have used bathroom cleaner thats meant to attack mould but it didn't work. Do I need the grouting re done or is there some product that can sort it out ?

Many thanks

Lots of bleach and good strong "marigolds" Apply the bleach and leave it to soak in, then scrub with a scrubbing brush. Your bathroom will stink but it cleans of the "rust" mineral deposits from the water and the mould.

Bath Power or Viakal (sp) and some elbow grease will do the grouting, but I haven't found anything that cleans up the plastic sealant.

The BEST product IN THE WORLD is Dettol Mould and Mildew remover (bright green spray bottle). Spray it on, leave for 20 mins and wash off. Hey presto, all rusty colour and mould has gone.

Right Wilkie - I am going to try that one!

You can come get me if it doesn't work. I LOVE the stuff

I found bicarb of soda mixed with lemon juice, left and then scrubbed witha toothbrush worked really well. And it smelt nice too.

Oh brill I was not expecting many replies at all for an unexciting thread in Good Housekeeping on a Monday night, I'm writing the recommendations down but right now I'm veering towards Wilkies recommendation as it sounds like the least amount of work. Fab thanks everyone.

I've just done ours with a couple of bio washing powder tablets mixed into a paste (it's been transformed). The enzymes are great for munching their way through all the 'deposits'
