Magimix small bowl leaking - am I doing something wrong?

I just received a brand new magimix 3200 which has 3 stacking bowls. The first thing I tried to make was hummus, in the small bowl. As soon as I turned it on the ingredients started leaking down into the medium and large bowls. I have ended up just making it all in the large bowl, but now have to clean all the parts, and feel as if the small bowl is a bit of a waste of time if it is just going to leak.
I wondered if anyone else had this issue or if I have a faulty one? Seems an oversight in such an expensive piece of kit!
Thanks.

I think you might have filled it too full.

The mini bowl is more for chopping small quantities like Garlic, herbs etc

Mine only ever does this when overfilled.

It is annoying though, how you have to have all 3x bowls fitted when you use the smallest one. I often find the others need a clean. I'm not really a fan of my Magimix, partially because of this.

Yes I agree. I have a small and a large machine side by side, to avoid this and only ever use the largest bowl for the big machine. It’s an expensive solution, but I use one or both everyday and couldn’t be without them.

Humous is definitely a big bowl thing. I’ve had my magimix for years and only use the small bowl for mayonnaise. I have got a little mini chopper for one onion etc. I don’t think I have ever used the medium bowl for anything. As others say, leakage is a problem so it’s generally worth using the largest bowl and just put aside the others as that means you are not washing all 3 bowls.
