MISSION

Morning all

Finished all but the ironing from yesterday's list. The ironing pile is HUGE as I have no dirty or drying washing for the 1st time in months. Took advantage of the sunshine and the neighbours being on holiday so I used their line.

TO DO

Up, washed and dressed
S&S Bathroom & Loo
Tidy bedrooms
Empty DW
Put away
Make breakfast
Take Ed to activities at the toddler group and Children's Centre.
Tackle ironing (tips please Aufish)
Make lunch
S&S kitchen
Shine sink
Vac downstairs
Tackle kitchen hotspots
Do the ironing
Put away

It never ever stops does it?

Budababe · 30/07/2007 07:54

Hi guys - can I join you?

House seems to be getting away with me! (I have a cleaner so it's clean but not tidy - piles of crap everywhere which I need to deal with). I figure if I tackle the piles of untidiness in each zone I will eventually get there. Mind you - have tried this before!

So today I will tackle piles in Living room - magazines all over the place - need to do a clear out.

Onwards and upwards.

shouldbe · 30/07/2007 07:58

Welcome back Buda
Good luck with the clear-out. I did the hotspot thing yesterday and am now clear of all but one pile of "stuff" in the living room - almost all of it was junk that went in the bin or to be recycled, why oh why do I seem to gather so much of it?!

scattyspice · 30/07/2007 08:51

Morning

Living room eh?

Anyone else find it impossible to tidy / clean the living room while there are children around ?

julezboo · 30/07/2007 09:18

Morning all

welcome buda

Just about to feed baby ds will be back shortly with list!

Hope everyone has had a good weekend?

Julie x

julezboo · 30/07/2007 09:19

scatty we have no toys in our living room! Sounds cruel doesnt it But right next door they have toys boxes!

Shoobiedoo · 30/07/2007 09:31

Morning!

Well, I brazenly admit I did hardly anything from my list for the weekend except the washing and drying and my sink is shiny I suppose.

My list:

S&S bathroom and downstairs loo

Empty all bins in house including compost caddy.

Empty dishwasher and reload and run

2 normal washes and 1 whites load, then peg out.

Hoover and mop downstairs floors.

Hoover hall and stairs.

Sort out one drawer of DS's clothes and bag all the stuff that is too small for Oxfam/Ebay.

Bake banana bread!

scattyspice · 30/07/2007 09:33

Julze I'm definately working towards a toy free LR. They share a tiny bedroom so nowhere to store toys there. We have towers of toyboxes all over the house LOL.

Shoobiedoo · 30/07/2007 09:44

Julez before we had DS I used to wonder why friends with kids had toys all the place and I used to think smugly how I would never be like that. The other day a friend came round and said "God your house is full of baby stuff". I looked around and realised I'd become one of those people...

julezboo · 30/07/2007 09:51

lol shoobie We used to be the same, We obviously have the babys jumperoo in there and ds has his table and chairs in there with his colouring things on it so he doesnt get bored. But he has a bedroom full of toys, he never cleans up after himself, the front room he has one big toy box in there.

After we redecorated the living I have banished toys from there all together, much easier to keep tidy

AufishFeQueen · 30/07/2007 11:32

Good Morning Girls Go you were asking for tips on ironing? I usually put on of my favourite dvds on and set up the ironing board and away I go, usually by the time the dvd is finished I have 2 baskets full of ironing, usually put a girlie dvd on by the way.

My done list:

2 loads of washing on the line
1 load in the machine
washing up and drying up

My to do list:

shower and dress
shine sink
hoover
put away the ironing
clean the bathrooms
strip the beds

Right better be off and get on with this little lot otherwise I won't get on with it all. Be back later.

julezboo · 30/07/2007 11:39

I am waiting in for babyds's new highchair today, funny feeling it wont turn up though! We live in a valley and we have one parcelforce man who delivers and collects round here, hes usually left the valley by noon

Hope everyone is having a good day. Rather quiet here this morning, lots of people missing?

Getting on pretty well Downstairs is looking good, except the kitchen which I'll do after lunch. Upstairs needs more work but it's mostly in my and dds bedrooms so we can play cleaners and do that later too.
We have 20 kids coming later in the week for a birthday party so I need to do a party food shop at some point too.... maybe not today though...

julezboo · 30/07/2007 12:31

sb 20 kids in your house?! Your braver than me!

Welcome oxo

I still havnt moved, I am bouncing the babychair though getting him to sleep then I will crack on.

yaddayah · 30/07/2007 13:27

waves to all

Lots of little jobs to do today

I need to sort out the toy boxes in the living room (we have 2 lidded cubes no other toys allowed in there as I got so fed up of it being a 2nd playroom) but I can't even begin to imagine whats in the larger of the two)

The garden however...
Dc's have friends over and are keeping busy making obstacle courses in the garden.. we have every toy/blanket/cushion lined up in 3 rows

grouchyoscar · 30/07/2007 13:32

Had a lovely day so far. Ed had a great time at the Children's Centre and ended up singing mika songs into the PA after drumming, dancing, painting his face, football and piniata batterring.

Feel really shattered now. I've linked my insomnia to ...DH's birthday cake! Too much chocolate and sugar tbh. It's given DH a rough night too.

Done list

Up, washed and dressed
S&S Bathroom & Loo
Empty upstairs bins to grey waste outside
Tidy bedrooms
Empty DW
Put away
S&S kitchen
Shine sink
Make breakfast
Attend toddler group, pay for zoo trip and talk re funding.
Take Ed to activities at the toddler group and Children's Centre.

To do

Tackle ironing (Thanks for the tips Aufish)
Make lunch
Vac downstairs
Tackle kitchen hotspots
Put ironing away

Feel really pathetic now...Ah well, better crack on

[TIRED EMOTICON]

Hello All

I have just spent half of yesterday and until now in hospital with DD2
Her temp was very high and her breathing got very weak over Sat night. By Sun afternoon she was struggling quite badly to breath so I took her to A&E yesterday. They put her on a nebuliser which stabalised her breathing. She had a steroid injection and at 10 oclock last night she had a chest x-ray. It appears she has a throat and chest infection and acute Bronchiolitis

Anyhoo, she is on a ten day course of antibiotics and she has an inhaler for when her breathing gets tight again.

NIGHTMARE!!! I spent all afternoon in the hospital being sick!!!!!! I'm ok today though, just feel like I've had a good beating! I am so tired I could sleep standing up.

....oh and to top it all I had to park the car on a very steep hill outside the hospital, and because it was low on diesel it wouldn't bloomin start today! I had to wait for the car behind me to go and roll it backwards all the way down hill, on to the flat before it would start.

DD1 is back to the doctors on Wednesday as her lump hasn't gone yet.

(The cats seems fine though )

grouchyoscar · 30/07/2007 13:46

Blinking flip Luda hope DC is on the mend and things are calming down for you

have a {{{Grouchy hug}}}

OP posts:
ludaloo · 30/07/2007 13:52

Thanks GO

I'm hoping that this will be the last of the bugs now...I don't think DD2 can take much more! Last week she had "Slapped Cheek", the week before she had sickness and diorreah, and generally she has been unwell for weeks.

Its her birthday on Friday, so we'll have a big party for her

SS want do you want me to do with these clothes? I have chosen some things, but not sure if your list is up to date. I'm quite happy to hang on to them until you are ready for them.
Hope you have a fab holiday

scattyspice · 30/07/2007 14:04

Poor you (and DD) Ludaloo. That sounds terrible!

shouldbe · 30/07/2007 14:19

Luda poor you and dd2, hope the meds soon help her pick up. And poor you being poorly yourself at the hospital...I do hope you're all on the mend soon. Can anyone help out so you can get some sleep? x x

Well, I picked the kids up from their club and we went and had a picnic at the park It was lovely and they are nice and calm now so I should be making better use of this quiet time for getting more jobs done but I really can't be bothered! I'll get on again in a minute, honest!
