Leather cleaner for sofa

sevenandeight · 12/07/2019 08:46

My leather sofa is looking a bit sad so I would like to give it a clean.

Any recommendations for a leather cleaner/treatment?

Thanks.

Now, if you'd have posted it as an AIBU you'd have a hundred replies by now.

AIBU to think all leather cleaners are rubbish?

Ha ha

Meanwhile, my thinking is that it's a good idea to regularly dust leather.

My fairly new white (I know, I know...) suite is a real pain and has areas of off white (grey) which is essentially dust that has become ingrained.

A daily two minute dusting session over the past sixth months with a slightly damp cloth would have probably prevented this.

My sofa is black so much more forgiving than white. It's probably filthy but doesn't show it too badly.

I have to dust it everyday as the dust really shows up on black.

I was going to post this in chat for quick reply's, but mumsnet can get quite upset if you post in the wrong section Grin

Renapur leather balm is what I use to condition my sofas - amazing stuff, made from beeswax and jojoba oil, made the back of one of my sofas which was against a radiator and seriously dry and cracked come up like almost new. They do a leather cleaner too, which I would imagine will be as good, but can't vouch for that personally as haven't tried it yet.
