Best robust vacuum cleaner for clumsy household?

We are a family of 4 adults and we get through a lot of Hoovers as the plastic bits snap off or the attachments fall to bits. We have a cat so something with good suction would be good. Mostly though it needs to be robust - any suggestions, please?

Our robot roomba is sitting upside down to stop it going off in the middle of the night!! It worked ok to start but the brushes wear out quickly (it starts to leave stuff all over the place when it's not cleaned properly) if you leave it to get on with itself it gets caught up in stuff, you have to be tidy!!

Sorry Blush silly me; in place of robust I read ROBOT Blush We've got a Miele animal hair that's good.

Henry or hetty both are very tough. Although when I have to replace hetty I’m going to get the wet and dry version.

Miele Cat and Dog C3. Picks up everything, not much on it to break, lasts forever.

Thank you - we've just got a Henry - was not as expensive as I expected and so far so good.
