is my beautiful antique wooden trunk buggered?

just came downstairs to discover my 4 year old ds has written in felt pen ALL OVER the wooden chest/trunk in the lounge.
I could cry.
I think if i start scrubbing it off it's going to discolour the wood.

So WTF do I do??????

Try wiping it with a baby wipe. That's my removal solution for most things.

well well. im amazed. It's not totally disappeared but as a removal solution goes it not bad. If i blur my eyes, i cant see the marks anymore. And thats good enough for me!
