Washed a pillow in the washing machine and then tumble dried it and now it stinks, and not in a nice way. Does anyone have any idea how to stop the smell?

I've had this prob. What I do is dry it more on top of our boiler. it's still smelly, then I spray it with febreeze and the smell goes, good luck

It may seem dry, but probably isn't. Tumble dry more, then a bit of freshener in the morning, not before you sleep on it inf needed.

Try to avoid washing feather pillows though. get a pillow protector or take them to be dry cleaned.

For those of you that have had trouble drying feather pillows you need to dry them thoroughly but slowly. Low heat or no heat. Keep giving them a shake now and again during drying. To make sure they are properly dry, weigh them before and after.

If the pillow had a zip on it would you empty the feathers out, wash the pilow case and put them back?

Wash it again on a nice day and let it dry naturally. I agree that it may not be fully dry. When I’ve washed my feather duvets they smell strange, but the smell goes when dry completely
