Good morning, have just finished another pile of ironing, am nearly finished the lot now much to my relief. I know I'm mad but when you think I have 4 kids off on summer holidays at the moment and a whole weeks worth of clothes to get through it has to be done at some point otherwise it would a mountain to do! Will be back later with a list as the house is a bit of a tip so it needs to be sorted.

EHM · 26/07/2007 13:36

Hi

I've completed my list & just eating my egg mayo sandwich. Ellie refused to eat hers, so I took her out for a breath of fresh air. She promptly fell asleep about 4 mins from the house. She's been napping for an hour so I've managed to complete by list very quickly, except cook tea. I'll do that once dh is home.

Beginning to feel unsettled about her MMR injection tomorrow

EHM · 26/07/2007 13:37

Hi shouldbe x post

shouldbe · 26/07/2007 13:41

Hi EHM
Are you worried because Ellie is a bit under the weather?..I'd change the appt till next week if you are. It's not worth adding anything else to her system if she's a bit run down anyway. Have a chat with the nurse tomorrow or just re-schedule the appt.

SimplySparkling · 26/07/2007 13:43

Hi shouldbe and EHM.

Quick aside. Lovely Derek the weatherman is on the tv atm. I could have met and had lunch with him last summer if I'd accepted dh's invite to go with him to a lunch event but I didn't know that Derek would be there in advance. Dh sat next to him and chatted to him throughout lunch.

EHM I can understand your concern. I can't think of anything to say that will help at all, sorry.

shouldbe I hope your friend's visit goes ok and you don't end up with a huge amount of tidying up!

I must have lunch now, though I can't really be bothered.

EHM · 26/07/2007 14:14

Thanks shouldbe & simplyS

She appears fine today, its just that 2 mums I know decided in their wisdom, without my request. To tell me why they had decided against the MMR injection & the horror stories that changed their minds.

In my head I know its the right thing to do, and there are pros & cons as with all immunisations. Its just they both planted a little seed. One of these mums also told me after Ellie was over her chicken pox that a colleague of her dh's child had died through chickenpox!

god I such a worry wart

EHM · 26/07/2007 14:15

I need to check with the nurse tomorrow about the inhaler she has been taking anyway before she has the injection. Thanks shouldbe simplyS who's derek the weather man, and what channel?

SimplySparkling · 26/07/2007 15:08

EHM I completely understand your concern. I hope the nurse will be able to answer your questions tomorrow. Today my children were doing rock climbing and they told me to stop worrying when I reminded them to take care and not to hesitate to question the safety measures. As for Derek the weatherman, I think it is BBC Wales but I don't really notice channel numbers which makes trying to remember programmes I'm watching interesting. I miss them more often than not.

Afternoon all

we had a ok afternoon, we went to a place called rumble in the jungle about 30 mins from here for a change of scenery.. the queue to get in was 2 hours long I wasn't waiting in that so we ended up at good ole merlins castle, had lunch, DS playing, baby ds tried out a highchair for the very first time and love it!

We stayed 90 mins then time to go home, posted ebay parcels and now I have a headache

I will be collecting DF from work in half an hour or so then off to tescos!

Hope everyone is ok?

Julie x x

Jas · 26/07/2007 16:00

EHM - I hope the injection goes ok tomorrow. The nurse will be used to worried mums, and hopefully reassure you (or postpone if E is unwell)
I just want to let you know there is a possibility I may not make it to the picnic on Sunday. DD2 had the runs for the past 5 days and now I have it. If mine lasts as long, or the others get it I will have to leave it this time. I will ask my fellow feb mums to look out for you if I can't come. They are all lovely.

I couldn't go to work this am (for obvious reasons) so have got a little bit more done today, despite magical non-sleeping baby making a reappearance.

aww jas you are so kind to think of me, especially when you & your lo are poorly. Hope it clears up soon. I am feeling less worried now I've chatted with you fly ladies about tomorrow.
It peeing down with rain here & it has been for the last hour.
Ellie is eating her egg mayo, but not the bread. She slept for 3 hours, which isn't unusual for her now & again. She woke in the best of moods, cuddly & giggly
julez 2 hours to q I won't have waited either. Glad your lo enjoyed his first experience of a highchair
simplyS I am going to check if we get BBC Wales on Sky.

ludaloo · 26/07/2007 19:10

Hello

very strangely the house is looking good I have ironing to do tonight, and the bathroom to clean. Will put the kids to bed soon and do the bathroom while they settle.

The emersion heater has broken, so I had to call the landlord....hope he sorts a plumber soon as we have no hot water. (unless we light the fire but it is way to hot in the house then)

Well Goodnight one and all, catch you all tomorrow for more FLY

Skribble · 27/07/2007 00:07

Evening all,

well I am still struggling to get anywhere witht he house, but....
sink is clean,
dishwasher has been filled and emptied and the right times,
wash a day for a good few days now,
tackled the huge pile of ironing in the middle of the livingroom, now halfed mainly by hanging all DH's shirts on a couple of hangers and he can iron them when he wants .,

Just really trying to re-establish all those habits that really do make a difference, but if I am working it all goes to pot, how do you cope any of you that do work and try to fly too???
