Do you clean at the weekend?

... And if so, how long does it take you? I've managed to get my weekend cleaning down to about an hour each day at a push and I get most of my jobs done during the week.
Just interested in what other people do.

I try to do it Thursday or Friday evening so I can enjoy a clean house for the weekend. I can do it in 3 hours at a leisurely pace, usually music and gin are involved.

No, just dishes. But I work part time so can do it during the week.

I did the grocery shop at 9am (not in uk) and came home and did housework until dinner at 1.30. Took a break until 4 and cleaned again (including washing ironing and bit of playtime) until dcs bedtime at 7

Ahh ok, I'm not the only one then. I didn't want it to come across as smug! I found a really good cleaning routine which has worked well for the last few years so I put it down t o that. I'd rather do a bit each day instead of a one day blitz

What is your routine? I need one!

No. We have a weekly cleaner just so we don't have to clean at the weekend. Obviously I have to do laundry and we clean up after ourselves but I love not having to scrub bathrooms etc.

Routine is.. mainly I dump out a lot of stuff don't need. That's the key.
Also lidded boxes for stiff and a label maker.
Other than that I spray the toilets with bleach and wipe with kitchen towel once a day.
Washing- full load each day and try and sort and put away.

No, never at the weekend except the stuff that needs doing daily (vacuuming, cleaning loos, etc). I loosely follow TOMM so do a different area of the house mon-fri.

My routine is:
Monday floors (hoover and mop)
Tuesday: bathroom
Wednesday: dust
Thursday: general tidy up
Friday: big laundry day( change bed linen, tonnes of washing, ironing etc).

I do a brief 15 minute room clean everyday, but the days/chores listed above are more of a deep-clean.
I also set a wash load to start in the early AM so it's ready for me to hang out when I get up.

At the weekends I clean the kitchen, quick wipe round bathroom.

I try to do a proper clean on a Sunday and then maintain through the week. It helps that I find cleaning cathartic and relaxing so I really look forward to it.

It takes me around 1.5 hours to sort the whole house, (schedule laundry, vacuum, bleach the bathroom, mop the floors).
