Ink stain on pale leather

Have just discovered that a blue pen has leaked through my pale pink leather bag and left a big blot on the outside. Anything I can do?

Having looked in my marvellous Queen of Clean book, she recommends cuticle remover, left on for 10 minutes then buffed off with a soft cloth. Let me know if it works!

Apparently they sell ink remover in furnature world

hairspray works as well - ds2 drew a rather fetching biro line on our cream leather settee. Was dubious about this tip from our childminder but it worked!

OK have had a go with the cuticle remover - it does get the ink out onto the cloth but as it's a pretty big blot I think I will have to have several goes. Haven't got any hairspray and I can't keep buying beauty products I never use so if the cuticle stuff runs out of steam I shall investigate the stuff in the furniture shop!
