Any shark duoclean owners about?

Bought one of the above last year and it keeps overheating, literally after I've vacuumed one room. Is this normal or do I need to speak to Shark (or Amazon where I got it from?)

Check the pipe at the top and at the bottom where it bends. (If you've hoovered up paper it will get stick there and overheat it)
Wash the filters
If that fails contact shark for advice. If not contact seller as faulty, but I doubt you'll get that far. Love mine. Any issues I've had have been user error
