Melted Hama beads on iron

Bloody DP has melted hama beads onto the iron. I've tried scraping it off with no luck. He's suggesting we just get a new one. Is that the only answer?

How did he manage to do that? Aren't you meant to use special paper to cover them?

Sorry, probably not especially helpful.

Indeed you are. He is an utter buffoon. Sigh.

Put the iron on the lowest setting, it will be easier to scrape off if slightly warm. Could try ironing over some kitchen paper to see if it absorbs in?

Sadly it's not doing much. I think I will try some Lakeland sticky stuff remover.

My DH suggests heating iron up and using Teflon spatula to scrape off.

Thank you. Sticky stuff remover has worked fairly well. It's much better than it was but I might try the heat and scape suggestion.

You need to heat it up.
