Rust mark on brand new *white* top - waaah!

Brought the washing in on Saturday to discover a big stain on a once-worn white cotton top, most likely from the washing line. (Why is it always something new or something you especially like?) I've since tried Vanish, and vinegar, and then vinegar and salt. No discernible difference. There seems to be a specific rust remover made by HG but amazon reviews range from glowing to made-no-difference and it's five quid so I thought I'd ask on here before I buy it - does it or anything else work? Am I better just bleaching the thing? Thanks in advance.

Try YouTube as there seems to be some good videos on there for"Getting rust stains out of white cotton".

Good luck! Really hope you find something that does the trick.

You could try a paste of Bar Keepers Friend. That has got rust marks off things for me.
