Smelly tumbledrier

We moved house a year back, our tumbledrier has been in the garage ever since. I used it for the first time since our move and everything came out smelly. Really smelly.
Is there a way to get rid of the smell? Will it get better over time or should I do something?
I try to put washing on the line when I can but sometimes it's helpful to throw the stuff in the drier.

Thanks for you help and wisdom as always Smile

I soaked some old towels in disinfectant, and then ran them through the TD. It killed the bugs that generate that smell. Or you could do the same with a weak bleach solution. OLD towels though, or you’ll ruin then. Smile

That's a great idea, thank you 😀
