Quick hand-wash/machine wash jumper question

If a label says hand-wash on wool/wool mix jumpers can you or do you machine wash them on a woollens cycle?

I had a bad experience a while ago when I ruined a favourite item (accidentally put it through machine on a normal 40 degree cycle) so am a bit wary now.

TIA

I wouldn't. HAnd wash is hand wash. "wash as wollens" or equivalent is ok for machine.

never machine wash hand wash onlies - you will regret it ( I know I have!)

In that case it can sit in the bottom of the wash basket for another 6 months

Thanks for your help

i WOULD put it on the coldest setting (30 or lower if your machine allows) and the slowest spin possible!

I have a hand wash setting on my machine which i use!
