How do you position your clothes in the wardrobe?

I have had everything hung in colours and then all tops together, jeans, together, skirts together, etc etc but hubby complains it takes me so long to get downstairs and I know it is because I can't decide what to wear. Last week I put to the end the clothes that still don't fit after the baby being born (really bad as he is now 2) but it still takes me too long!

on the floor

There is a side for my stuff and a side for DHs.
Generally stuff I don't wear much is squished on the right hand side and stuff I wear often on the left.
That is about as much 'order' as I can manage!

hung? in the wardrobe? sorry I sort my clothes from the floor or the draw - the only things in the wardrobe are those items I no longer wear and coats - but I am a complete slattern - I am sure there will be someone along in a minute with a foolproof system

I just hang them as they get washed and hung up again. No particular order. However, I have a rather limited style of clothes, and most colours go together.

Summer, linen trousers, top occasional skirt and top

Winter - jeans and top or work trousers and top.

All I have to do is decide on the particular combo for the day/weather/occasion

I find I am just wearing the same things over and over so I have started putting them away in rotation but that is far too sad.

In my PJs wardrobe (spare room) I have my long sleeved winter PJs, followed by short sleeves and long trousers followed by T shirst with shorts PJs followed by nighties.
