Am I expecting too much for £100?

A family member generously paid for us to have a one-off clean of our house. We were quoted just over £100. They've been today and I'm just not convinced it looks like £100 worth of cleaning. They have cleaned the windows, hoovered, mopped hard floors, dusted, cleaned bathrooms. But things like the tiles behind the hob haven't been cleaned, and the tiled walls of the bathroom. And other things have been wiped but not had more stubborn marks removed. I feel a bit disappointed - I was hoping it would feel cleaner than I'd normally get it week to week. What would you expect for £100? It is a medium sized 4 bed, but they weren't doing the bedrooms, just living room, kitchen, halls and stairs, 2 bathrooms and utility.

We pay £13 per hour, 4.5 hrs weekly so about £60. Four bed house, three bathrooms plus another loo. In that time she does absolutely everything in every room (apart from windows) plus some ironing. Tiles thoroughly cleaned, stubborn marks gone.

Was it an agency by any chance? I find the accountability isn’t there and you’re more likely to get the bare minimum.

We use an agency, but it is always the same cleaner.

We pay £13 per hour, and she comes for 4 hours per week to clean our 5 bed house - it's 2400sqft if that helps. A couple of rooms are done every couple of weeks, rather than weekly. She isn't amazing, but it is generally clean.

For twice that money I would expect a full deep clean, with tiles and floors sparkling, all woodwork cleaned, and windows washed and polished and furniture pulled out.

We live in a three bed and pay £20 a week for two hours. So mainly a surface clean. For that money (even in a 4 bed) I would expect a deep clean, so YANBU.

Yanbu. Even if you were averaging £15/hour that's still nearly 7 hours of cleaning, I'd expect the place to be sparkling!! I'd complain op. Btw I'm in London and pay £12/hour, cleaner comes every week for 4 hours and hoovers, dusts, tidies, cleans kitchen & downstairs loo, bathroomx2, changes mine & DH's bed, hoovers & dusts 3 bedrooms, and irons. I love her
