Woodlice

I have just recently moved home and although our new home seems old and a little outdated I see potential and completely fell in love with it ..... but! Since moving in I can’t help but notice the constant sight of woodlice in my bedroom!! I would not be concerned so much if the house had been empty for a long time previous. I know for certain that it had been vacant right up until 2 days before we moved in!... our landlord was so specific in reassuring me on viewing that she would put us a new carpet in our bedroom ‘main bedroom’ to what she did- ?.. originally I thought this was of simple good gesture as I know her through mutual friends- Thinking back now, I remember how I questioned and thought ‘why’ ? They was nothing wrong (visible) anyway!? Regardless of the new clean carpet- wallpaper stripped from walls they is a noticeable infestation of woodlice constantly! Why would this be? (This room only? It is at very back of the house in which doesn’t shed much light but I have removed blind and have window wide open every day- hasn’t changed in the constant show of woodlice) I’m now thinking it’s the fitted wood wardrobes?????

They like a damp environment though dont they? Are your walls dry on the outside? Guttering in good condition?
