tort I'm sure we will miss you, too. Have a great summer and pop in and say hello if you've a mo.

julez Sorry to hear you're not 100%. Do you mind telling me about your organised mum book, which one it is, etc? I got the A5 one last year and it didn't suit me. I'm thinking of getting the pocket diary and the weekly planner calendar.

OP posts:
julezboo · 19/07/2007 14:19

I got the one with the leather cover, A5 i think it is. I have a fairly large nappy bag so fits easily in there!

ludaloo · 19/07/2007 14:46

Well...ironing is now done! Packing pretty much done, house still needs tidying, as does the car.
Just folding the last of the washing to put away before we go.

grouchyoscar · 19/07/2007 15:04

Afternoon ALL

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Ed. He had a great day and is still slightly spaced out.

FLYing is a touch hit and miss atm. Loads of toys in the front room, scraps of paper everywhere. Plus I'm trying to instigate an 'Independance Boot Camp' for Ed. I've been doing too much for him and I know the 7 week holiday will give me the opportunity to be firm but fair with both of us.

Done
Up and washed
Peg out washing
Ed up and washed
Downstairs to sort out my daily schedule (ref my AIBU thread)
Empty DW
Put away
Light reorganising of front room
Shower and dress
Make breakfast with Ed
Tidy away
Play with Ed
Firmly encourage Ed to dress himself
Take him to a play session
Home
Make lunch
Tidy away

Yesterday took it out of me, I'll take it steady today

SimplySparkling · 19/07/2007 15:55

go A girl after my own heart! Firm but fair sounds just right to me.

mylastrolo "Get control of your life in 7 weeks. Time management for manic mums" by Allison Mitchell. I got it out from the library (I paid 50p for them to order it in) and when I was sure I liked it, I ordered it from Amazon.

I'm tired as I decided to mow the lawn. The dog helped me by chasing the mower. Still, at least she is tired which is something!

I have killed 4 threads (I think it is 4) in the last couple of days. Which leads me to think that others have a RL and I want one too! Ok. Only kidding. I do have one but look to MN for a bit of company and it's quiet atm. Hey ho. See you all tomorrow.

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:17

I did get a wiff s/s all the housework off to buy book tomorrow and them will have schedule to come onto mumsnet bye for now

parceltongueisnotgibberish · 19/07/2007 22:25

Hey SS I'll gladly kill this thread for you

Thanks for all your messages re dd4. She is doing fine - itching like mad under the cast poor thing but have given her a long ruler-type thing so at least she can have a good scratch now lol. Gets X-Rayed on Tuesday to see how the bone is healing.

Well, still not FLYing from me My house is still in uproar. Electrics done in kitchen and units hopefully getting fitted this weekend but worktops won't be getting fitted until sometime next week. Plus still dont have a washing machine. Am going to buy one tomorrow after work.

Am missing you all I am going to have SO much to do once my house starts to return to normal...

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:30

parceltongue...I'm the thread killer tonight and i don't smell and i am only joking by the way

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:36

off to bed night night all hope i have energy to fly tomorrow. my d/d last day at nursery

parceltongueisnotgibberish · 19/07/2007 22:37

Aw sorry mylastrolo - didn't see you there!

Are you a bit emotional at the last day at nursery? I was.

Have a good day tomorrow though.

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:39

they are having a graduation from the grasshoppers I'm filling up already what will i be like in september she is my last one

SimplySparkling · 19/07/2007 22:42

mylastrolo I thought it might have been cutting the grass in the strong sun around 3pm that did it! The price on the back of the book is £6.99 but I got this plus the How to talk so teens will listen and listen so teens will talk one for £11.13 total from Amazon incl p and p as my sister bought the exact same 2 on the same order. It is a bit....different. Can I suggest you have a flick through before you buy it?

gibberish I hope the x ray goes well. I expect I had itchiness when I broke a wrist when I was little but I can't remember much. I bet it's damn annoying, though.

OP posts:
parceltongueisnotgibberish · 19/07/2007 22:42

Well you could always have another last one

parceltongueisnotgibberish · 19/07/2007 22:46

It's driving her daft SS. It's set with her arm bent too so she can't get the ruler thingy right up either.

She kept us amused in the hospital though. She is 6 and says whatever comes into her head - loudly. An old woman was trolleyed across A&E whilst we were waiting and dd4 asked loudly 'Mum, what do the vets (she gets doctors and vets mixed up) do with all the dead people?'. Rather embarassing.

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:48

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh we won't go there at this time of night plus i am too old now well (don't have madonna's income iykwim) plus d/h has has snip his choice not mine which we both regret. It is one thing talking another doing it. Plus i have given all my baby stuff away wise up i am not broody I'm not not really !!!!! oh best get to bed lol it does mean lots of love or laughs never sure . Simply if that book is no good well don't get me started

SimplySparkling · 19/07/2007 22:49

What do you do in that situation?

OP posts:
SimplySparkling · 19/07/2007 22:51

Oh oh. Do I need to change my name if it's no good to you? Move house? Grovel?

Nos da. Good night.

OP posts:
parceltongueisnotgibberish · 19/07/2007 22:53

Lol MLR. dh too has been for snip. Otherwise I would have had another 20 kids by now I think. Am FINALLY over the broody stage thank goodness. You will get there too.

mylastrolo · 19/07/2007 22:54
