Cleaning old toy dog baby walker

"Dog" baby walker was my favourite toy when I was little (35 years ago, !). When I got him down from my dads loft my DS (7 months) saw him and got very excited. The trouble is, I need to clean Dog before DS get his hands on him. He has 35 years dust etc on him.

Does anyone have any suggestions what product I should use to clean him, and how?

He is made from the regular fur type material that old soft toys used to be made of (in some places fur has worn away), but is a "rigid" frame, so can't be put in a washing machine (he is also on wheels, with a handle at the back).

I think I'd start with a vacuum clean, but not sure after that.
