Flooring for Toddler bedroom

I'm moving my 15month old into the spare room. Any ideas for covering the floor? I'm rather a fan of white carpets, floorboards, but the way he's going I should probably lay down some lino and be done with it. How did you decorate your toddlers room?

I have white cork boards on dds floor with flower rugs (which she refuses to leave down). Stops noise, non slip, no dust mites, east maintenance etc. I was against the whole idea when dh suggested it but it looks great.

It was good for learning to walk too - nice and bouncy. And it is wipe clean.
