I’m looking to buy a small handheld vacuum to clear up the daily spills and use in the car occasionally so needs to be cordless.

I’ve heard no good things on the dyson so what should I be buying?

I know 3 people who have a cordless Dyson and they all rave about them. They also get top reviews on Which?. Wish I had one. They are £££ though.

There is another brand called Shark that does them, and seems to send them to all the Mrs Hunch-type Instagram people as they are all using them on their Stories. Although Mrs Hinch et al say the Shark ones are great, they are panned on Which?.

I have 2 corded vacuum cleaners, neither of which is particularly good, and would love a cordless Dyson!

I bought a Dyson V7 a few months ago and it has changed my life. So easy to just pull it off the wall from its charging port and start vacuuming. Somehow it feels less of a hassle to do that than get a corded one out.

I use it as a handheld for the stairs.

I will say that although it is incredible it cannot compete with my Miele cat and dog. If I had only hard floors the Dyson would be fine. But the Miele is a much superior vacuum cleaner for carpet.

I would use the Dyson for the car though.
