Help! Best carpet cleaner (yellow stain!)

We are staying in a holiday cottage with a beige woollen carpet. Dog was nibbling seaweed yesterday and this morning has brought some up which has left a greeny yellow stain...I've got hot soapy water onto it and given it a good scrub but it's still visible....we are a bit limited shops wise as in a small town. Any magic cures that might help??

Test it on a hidden area first in case it bleaches the carpet, but I've never had any problems with the Vanish powershot stuff.

I use bleach diluted with warm water on my light coloured carpet. But as this isn't your home I would test this first on an area that is hidden.
