Melted zips- is it the clothes or the drier??

A couple of months ago I found a patch on one of the kids’ onesies (from Marks, relatively new) which looked melted. Was annoyed but assumed he’d touched something hot. Today the zip is all melted and fused to the fur. Is it likely to be the onesie or can a tumble drier do this?? It’s only a couple of years old at most.

The clothes don’t seem particularly hot when they come out, and the onesie was marked as drier safe. Not quite sure who to complain to!!

Thanks for any advice Smile

I'd say it was the drier as I don't have one and have never had a melted zip in decades of doing the laundry, for both adults and DC.

Perhaps contact the manufacturer of the drier?

Seems unlikely to be the drier as surely you'd see problems with other parts of clothing before the zip melted eg. transfers/prints peeling off or melting, clothes shrinking or becoming misshapen.

How old is your DC? Any chance that they could be messing about with a flame or something really hot?

Thanks both.

Absolutely not DC; he wore it after swimming lesson yesterday and did up fine. Put straight in the wash afterwards and dried yesterday. Noticed the zip today when was sorting clothes.
