Covering the smell of damp?

I live in a rented home and the landlord is dragging their feet over getting the damp fixed. It's in all but one room.

I've managed to clean most of the mould off the walls after discovering the frankly noxious but highly effective Astonish Mould and Mildew Blaster. However, my sense of smell is notoriously crap, and I'm sure my home must smell of damp.

What's the best way to neutralise damp related odours without being overpowering or upsetting the dog's sensitive nose?

I’ve had this problem too OP.
One of my best purchases was an electric dehumidifier. It cost me £100 but my god does it earn its keep.
Open as many windows as you can and get some of the febreeze plug ins.
I’ve also found the scented pellets for the washing machine help too. I washed my curtains with them, with the windows open the breeze distributes the smell nicely through my flat.

Unfortunately it's all penetrating and rising damp (the penetrating damp is due to the render being in shocking condition according to the surveyor they sent round). It's not condensation at all so I can't see a dehumidifier helping.

Luckily I'm able to keep the back door open much more now the weather is nicer, though I doubt that helps much in the front of the flat!

I'm not sure I've ever washed curtains in my life Blush Maybe now is a good time to start... I'm off to investigate the Febreeze plug ins!

Gosh op. I don't know how some of these landlords get away with things. Surely it will affect your health if not dealt with soon?

I run a dehumidifier unstairs and down all year except the summer and it helps. We live in a soggy valley bottom, it's never not going to be damp.
