Have realised I am a shitty hostess!

17yo SIL and her friend staying with us this week.
I frowned at her when she said they didn't have a pillow ( there were 4, 2 each...ffs) surely I should have smiled and said Ohhh let me see....?
I am grumpy with DH in front of them, as I'm knackered from work/commute and then straight into full on mum-mode while he sits on sofa with laptop.

Bad tigana

I was equally grumpy when 17yo neice stayed. Something to do with work being knackering and dirty dishes left everywhere whilst she topped up her tan by the pool, I think

Don't stress it. 17yos are evil and their bodies are far too pert

There was much sofa- sitting by them it must be said.
Sofa-sitting, crappy-magazine-reading and threats of Big-Brother-watching later this week

Not so much washing-up-helping or carrying-plates-throughing.

Still think am bad hostess for being grumpy. I am not 17 after all!

oh it is horrible when you expose your grumpy side to them isn't it? we have 21 yo SIL staying at mo (who is really lovely but might as well be 17 in lots of ways) and I swear she thinks I am the most miserable git (two small children, stress of work and commute and trying to organise house and provide meals etc will do that to a woman I find)
