Vacuum cleaner for wooden floors

Can anyone recommend a vacuum cleaner that won’t damage wooden floors, please? I need something small (because it has to fit in a small cupboard), and am hoping for something not too expensive. Thanks for any suggestions!

Literally anything without a beater bar ought to be sufficient and won't damage your floor.

Meile cylinder is ok on ours.

Dyson cordless, amazing!

I've had a Vax Air Stretch for the last couple of years.
There's a switch on the top which enables you to turn the beater bar off. We have a mixture of wooden floors and carpet throughout the house and it's fine for both.

It's not too large and I think the current price is just under £100.

The only thing I don't really like about it is the length of the power cable, it's inordinately long and can get tangled quite easily. Other than that it's a great little cleaner and I would definitely purchase it again.

Shark cordless. Had it about a month. Honestly it's the best thing I've ever bought

Thanks! Are the wheels definitely fine on wooden floors? (i.e. won’t damage them?)
