I reached a point where I couldn't bear it any more. The perimenopause had done weird things to my mind - I kind of stuck and stagnated, couldn't make decisions and home became a mess.

My oh has no sense of how things look (which is weird for an artist ...) and will pile and dump and leave things everywhere.

End of 2016 I got a temporary age related injury, and that kind of woke me up - realised that time really is passing and one day I may not be physically capable of dealing with it.

So when I found a 365 day challenge, I started. I got hooked, posting something every day. It became a new habit and I loved it.

Then I read Marie Mondo's Life Changing Magic - and realised I'd been paddling in the shallows. Time for a dive. Konmari works!!

Anyone else out there?

The folding method is good - quite therapeutic and looks great, albeit time-consuming.

We worked through clothes, books and (most) paper in January, still going through 'komono' and sentimental items, which is a much slower process.

One of the nice things about Konmari is the focus on what you want to keep, it feels v positive when you get into it.
