Help- oven needs cleaning

I was going to get a professional in but the oven broke and my friend has offered to replace the element - I cannot leave it in current state. Is there a quick and easy way to clean it - doesn’t need to be spotless - just not shameful! Give me your methods? Thank you

Oven brite cleaner, works a treat and minimal effort. Buy a can and follow the instructions!

Oven pride is the best I think. Works really well

Are they for all of it or just shelves?

If you want something non-toxic soda crystals are brilliant. If it's bad, make a paste of water and soda crystals and leave for a few hours. Should just wipe away. My oven was awful. I was surprised at how effective it was. I was expecting to have to give it a number of goes.

Don't use soda crystals on anything aluminium though.

A damp dishwasher tablet rubbed over...blooming magic that is, specially on the glass bits! ( not too wet or it will crumble)

Soak the shelves/racks in biological washing powder and hot water overnight. The grime comes off so much easier.

I used the pink stuff on the doors of my oven, much easier than a dishwasher tablet which i also tried

oven pride is pretty good, & easy - put the shelves etc inside the giant plastic bag with the chemical overnight & the filth just rinses off.

more chemical on the bottom/sides/door overnight will dissolve the rest to wipe away in the morning.

DO wear the gloves though
