removing marks from granite worktop

My black granite kitchen worktop has developed some marks, where it's less shiny than the rest of it.

No idea what caused it, but the normal kitchen spray cleaner isn't fixing it.

Any recommendations please oh you MN domestic goddesses?

Have you been using a cleaning product designed to clean granite? Some other products will have too much bleach/ammonia and some natural products, eg vinegar and lemon juice are too harsh for granite and will remove the glossy shine from the surface. That may be why it is the less shiny areas which have developed marks.

No, just been using normal Ecover kitchen spray.

Is there anything that can be done to restore it?
